Welcome to the Sport of Crown Green Bowls - a Sport for all Ages. This welcome is to a Sport that can and will provide many years of enjoyment and interest to all players. Whether that interest remains purely at Club level or expands into County or even National level, the aim is the same - ENJOYMENT ! All the family can play Crown Green Bowls, from grandchildren to grandparents and it is a great sport for making new friends. It is a non-contact sport which is enjoyed by all, including people with disabilities.Crown Green bowls is a form of bowls which is played mostly in the North of England but also in some places in Wales, West Midlands and Shropshire. It differs from flat green bowls in that the green has a 'crown' which rises up to 18 inches in the centre. There are no lanes, and players can play all over the green.
